Teachers For Taylor Swift

Sorry, this video is no longer available

Mollie Lackmann, Hope Schmidt, Joni Grant and Melissa Hagan got creative and made their own ode to Taylor Swift after unsuccessfully attempting to get tickets to her concerts in Minneapolis and Fargo.

But how did these 2nd grade teachers come up with their ideas?

One of the teachers Joni Grant said, “We kind of planned it all out before we shot it so when we went in there to shoot it we knew exactly what we would do at each section of the song.”

Phones were ringing off the hook at Y94’s Morning Playhouse after they played the video. Zero and Rat brought the teachers in for a surprise as they dressed up as elderly people for the 100th day of school.

Zero from Y94’s Morning Playhouse said, “You know they work hard, they look out for our young people, we have tickets so we thought we could hook them up.”

Zero did play a trick on them right before they found out they’d get to see Taylor Swift. These four teachers don’t just like Taylor Swift, they love Taylor Swift.

“Literally tell me any Taylor Swift song and I can sing it,” said Grant.

“Ask us trivia and we got it,” said Mollie Lackmann.

Swift is pretty high up on their lists, but their students are the most important thing.

“We had so much fun making the video and our kids loved it so just seeing the joy that it brought them was totally enough,” said Lackmann.

And after the concert in September, these ladies still have school the next day.

This will be the second time Taylor Swift has come to the F–M area within the last 2 years.
