Fargo officials want to hear your voice and now you can do exactly that simply by the click of a mouse.

This morning city officials launched the public engagement website “Engage Fargo.”

The web based platform was created as part of the city’s GO 20–30 strategic plan.

It’s a way for leaders to reach out to citizens and have them engaged wherever and whenever is most convenient for them.

Residents now have the chance to view City Reports and give their thoughts through surveys and various board conversations.

City Commissioner Melissa Sobolik says, “Engage Fargo is an interactive discussion and idea website that allows the city to engage residence in conversation and get feedback and ideas on a wide variety of issues.”

A test site received 49–thousand views and 32–ideas were shared.

At last week’s State of the Cities, Mayor Tim Mahoney gave a sneak peak of the “Engage Fargo” website, and it has since received 350–views and started 15–conversations.

Planning Administrator Nicole Crutchfield says, “You can sign–up through a Facebook or Google account that you might already have or you can sign–up just using your email.”

The first official question on the site since its launching is “If you could put one item in a time capsule, what would it be? What would represent Fargo at this time? And at what point should it be opened? In 25–years…75 or 100–years?”
