American Diabetes Association Calling on Congress for Insulin Price Investigation
The American Diabetes Association is calling on Congress to investigate the price of insulin.
In the last 20 years, the price of insulin has jumped from $21 in 1996 to $255 in 2016.
That’s an increase of more than 700 percent.
The association says prices of the life-saving medication are causing diabetics financial hardship and are asking Congress to help come up with solutions so everyone who needs it has access.
