Law Enforcement Support Rally in Fergus Falls

In response to police being targeted in Dallas earlier this month, local people want to remind law enforcement of their support.

People gathered in front of the Otter Tail County Court House for a common cause.

Rally organizers wanted to show that despite the attacks that happen nationwide, there are people of all ages supporting those who enforce the law.

“I’ve been seeing all these cop hater groups, and the assassinations of the police in Dallas. I just figured it was time for the 95% of the people of this country who do support our police had their voice heard,” says Bill Schulz, rally organizer.

It was organized to be a walk but it became a space where police officers and citizens could openly talk.

Officers who were there helped the group cross roads and personally showed their appreciation to participants.

“Here in Fergus we’ve received a out pour of support these last two or three weeks, and to see them plan this event it’s really icing on the cake,” says Fergus Fall’s Chief of Public Safety, Kile Bergren.

The group finished their walk at the Fergus Fall’s Shopko.

The police department says the rally was a reflection of the constant appreciation they get from the community.
