Blue Alliance Debuts In North Dakota

Blue Cross Blue Shield North Dakota is starting a new program to benefit both patients and doctors.

The state’s largest health insurer has introduced “Blue Alliance”.

It’s a way for doctors, patients, and the insurance company to work together to create a proactive and cheaper reimbursement plan for Blue Cross members and providers.

Company officials says the plan is optional, but hopes for it to be a seamless transition to make North Dakota a healthier state.

“Blue Alliance is really about creating a win–win situation between us and our provider partners from throughout the state to really improve the health and quality of the care and what we have to offer, says Chelsey Matter, Director of Provider Partnerships with BCBS of North Dakota.

The program is based on preventative care and will focus more on the outcomes of the patients’ visits, rather than the amount of visits.
