Dolani Clark of Dilworth Was the First Patient at the New Sanford Hospital in Fargo

FARGO, ND — A five month old baby girl was the first patient at the new Sanford Medical Center.

Dolani Clark of Dilworth was transported to the hospital around 7 a.m.

She checked into the downtown facility last Wednesday with her mother, Mercedes.

Clark has a metabolic disorder and double mutated gene, making her hospital visits frequent.

Her mother said Sanford’s doctors and nurses have made the transfer to the new facility very smooth.

“It was good. We feel like we were a part of history and we’re excited to be the first ones to make it here,” said Clark.

She said she likes the new hospital because she has a comfier, bigger room, perfect for her big family to come and visit.

Her daughter is expected to be released from the hospital in the next couple of days.
