NDSU partners with The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to host Who Stewards Our History? discussion
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – With November being Native American heritage month, NDSU partnered with The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to host the Who Stewards Our History discussion.
They talked about contested artifacts from the Holocaust and American Indian History.
The speakers discussed the return of disputed objects from Jewish victims of the Holocaust and from Indigenous populations in the U.S.
Students had the opportunity to ask the experts questions.
“NDSU is committed to building strong mutual trusting relationships with native nations in addition to all communities and cultures we serve in North Dakota as a land grant institution we take seriously the roll of institutions of higher education and the roll that they play in repatriation efforts.” Said NDSU Associate Professor Dr. Hollie Mackey.
