Driver rescued after vehicle ends up on its side in water-filled ditch

OTTER TAIL COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR) – A woman is suspected of DWI after a rollover crash into a water-filled ditch.

That’s according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

They say they got the call about a crash just after 2:15 Wednesday morning on the 21000 block of German Lake Road south of Underwood.

43-year-old Nichole Beauchamp went off the road and the vehicle was on its side in the water.

A deputy broke the sunroof glass and got her our with the help of Underwood rescue.

She was taken to Lake Region Hospital by Ringdahl Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office says alcohol is believed to be a factor and that charges are potentially pending following the result of a search warrant.
