Roger Maris All-Star Week is 7 days away

FARGO (KVRR) – It is seven days away from the start of the Roger Maris All-Star Week in the Fargo-Moorhead area. The crown jewel of the week is the celebrity golf tournament. The annual tourney will be played at the Rose Creek Golf Course on June 20.

“It is one of those events that really brings out the passion that people have for the issue of cancer,” said Joel Vettel with Sanford Health. “When you are talking about cancer which has affected everybody in their life in some way, fashion or form, having people come out to celebrate our mission, celebrate the passion for what we’re trying to do and what we’re accomplishing each and everyday throughout the Roger Maris Cancer Center.”

There are big names joining the tournament this year to help spread awareness on those battling cancer and the work that is being done at the Roger Maris Cancer Center.

This includes NFL Hall of Famer Chris Carter, Steve Garvey, Chad Greenway and Cordell Volson.
