CHS Dakota Plains Ag makes major donation to Great Plains Food Bank
KINDRED, N.D. (KVRR) – CHS Dakota Plains Ag made a donation of over $57,000 to the Great Plains Food Bank on Wednesday.
The donation is part of their Harvest for Hunger campaign, which they have been doing for 14 years, raising over $1 million for the food bank in the process.
CHS energy division manager Dale Beck has been a part of this project since the beginning.
He will be retiring soon, but he said he believes this program will keep going strong.
“I’m retiring on Monday, so someone new will take over for Dakota Plains Ag next year, but this is such an important program, and such a great program for Great Plains Food Bank and the general public that I know it’s going to be a continued success down the road.”
The Great Plains Food Bank said that having partners like CHS helps them accomplish their goals of fighting hunger in rural areas across the state.
