Search for missing 19-year-old ends after body found in Red River
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A family member of missing 19-year-old Arthur Wiebe says the search is over after Wiebe’s body was found in the Red River late Thursday.
Wiebe had been missing since he walked away from his family’s shop in the 4100 block of 34th Avenue South in Moorhead on Monday around 10 p.m.
He did not have a cellphone or access to a vehicle or credit/debit cards.
A passer-by called 911 to report a person in the Red River Thursday just before 10 PM.
The Fargo Police Department responded along with the Fargo Fire Department and the Moorhead Fire Department. An FPD officer located the body in the river near the 1400 block of Elm Street North.
Police have not yet formally released the name of the deceased.
