Red Lake Reservation man sentenced for neglect after death of a child

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KVRR) — A man from the Red Lake Reservation has been sentenced to five years and two years supervised release for one count of felony child neglect after the death of a child.

According to court documents, 41-year-old Julius Fineday deprived the child of necessary food, clothing, shelter, health care, and supervision.

The U.S. Attorney says the neglect throughout 2022 caused the death.

Sharon Rosebear, 63, was convicted of felony child neglect and is awaiting sentencing.
