UND soccer scores late to force tie against A&M-Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (KVRR) – With less than 16 minutes left in the second half against the A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders, freshman Charlie Basinet fired in a goal to tie it at 1-1. Early in the first half, the Islanders found a hole to score and take the lead, but the Fighting Hawks buckled down on defense in the second frame to limit their foes to only one shot.

Grace Miller gave up the early goal, but soon found her groove to collect six saves on the night.

UND (0-0-1) now heads north to Detroit, MI, to take on the Oakland Golden Grizzlies (0-1-0) on August 18 at 12 P.M.
