Jeremiah Project Partners with Prairie Public Learning Express

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Prairie Public Education Services have recently launched the Learning Express, a free resource trailer that will travel to schools, childcare centers and libraries. Their first stop is at The Fargo Jeremiah Program.

“Because of our relationship that we’ve had with Prairie Public that we have had a conversation about the new learning resource that they were starting and asked us if we would like to be the first spot for that little mobile trailer, ” said Andrea Williams, Director of Development.

The Jeremiah Program provides help for single mothers who want to knock down financial barriers that face some single-parent families.

“At Jeremiah Program we’re looking to break that cycle of poverty. By working with single moms who are in school full-time while also providing high-quality Pre-K education for their kiddos. So really just disrupting that poverty cycle through education,” said Williams.

With the Learning Express at the Jeremiah Program, the kids have had various learning experiences. They have been provided baskets crafted by the minds of educators in the area with different themes, one being let’s move.

“It’s a fun opportunity to have different games, activities, tools to help children develop those emotional regulation skills, teamwork, just learning through play. So it’s really an additional opportunity to bring those resources to their classrooms,” said Williams.

The Learning Express trailer will be available to the students at the Jeremiah Program until next week.
