FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — Red River Valley SWAT helped Fargo Police arrest a man accused of robbing two houses last night.

They were called to a tent near the river around 2nd Street and 4th Avenue North around 4:30 a.m. for 33-year-old Manuel Perez.

Police say Perez had broken into the homes north of downtown, showed a gun and left around 9 p.m.

They tracked him down to the tent and he refused to come out.

SWAT moved in and took him into custody on two counts of robbery.

During the same time, a nearby tent caught fire, not tied to the investigation.

Officers used a fire extinguisher to put it out.

No one was hurt in the robberies or fire.
