Police respond to shooting at New Year’s Eve gathering

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A juvenile suspected of a shooting that occurred Tuesday night, outside of a party, is in police custody.
Shortly after 10 p.m. police responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the 2500 block of 15th Street S.
Once officers arrived, they say, they learned there had been a fight between some juvenile males in the hallway of an apartment building.
A man from a neighboring unit tried to break up the fight and was struck by gunfire.
The shooter fled the scene before officers arrived.
The shooting victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Three other people were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries they sustain during the fight.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office deployed a K-9 unit to assist in the search for the suspect but was unsuccessful.
However, the Metro Area Street Crimes unit arrested a juvenile suspect at his residence in Glyndon at around 3:22 a.m. Wednesday for aggravated assault with a firearm.
