Traffic Rerouted For Hours On Northbound I-29 South of Fargo During Semi and Trailer Fire

CASS CO., N.D. (KVRR) — No one was hurt when a semi and its trailer caught fire on Interstate 29 south of Fargo.
North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened around 10:30 p.m. last night near mile marker 50.
The semi and trailer were fully engulfed in flames.
Crews from Southern Valley Fire and Rescue and Kindred Fire and Rescue battled the blaze in temperatures well below zero.
During the fire, the trailer split open.
Northbound traffic was detoured to Highway 81 for several hours.
Crews worked on cleanup until around noon.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
