Duane’s House of Pizza celebrates opening of new location
The old structure was demolished to make room for a brand-new apartment complex.
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Duane’s House of Pizza has completed the long-awaited transition to its new location on South University Drive.
The restaurant is only a few steps back from the old building stood.
It was demolished to make room for the Bloc Apartments.
Duane’s is now on the ground level within that complex, which promises a dedicated customer base from the people who will move in above the shop.
Management says it’s somewhat sad to move on from the historic location, but the new space has great promise for growth.
“It’s absolutely wonderful,” said District Manager Jesse Schanilec. “I’m a huge Duane’s fan. I’ve been in the Fargo-Moorhead area for 30 years. There are people who come in here who have been coming in for generations. So for us to keep that alive, the tradition alive – same pizza, same staff, just a different building – is really fun and awesome. We’re really looking forward to it.”
The new space can accommodate about 40 more customers than the old one.
There is also a rentable party room which can fit 30 to 40 guests.
