OTTER TAIL COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR) — Two men have been charged in a check forging scheme in Otter Tail County.

Keith King, 62, of St. Cloud and Daryl Jungroth, 51, of Elk River were arrested for attempting to cash fraudulent checks at banks in Fergus Falls and Pelican Rapids.

Court documents say both men told law enforcement they received the checks from their employer, but did not know his last name or the name of the company.

The men told police they were supposed to be paid a few hundred dollars, but learned at the banks the checks they were given were for over two and three thousand dollars.
