MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KVRR) – A man has died after being shot by federal agents in Minneapolis on the morning of January 24, according to multiple sources.

The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed the shooting, which took place around 9:00 A.M. They claim that an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.

That person reportedly received immediate medical attention but still died at the scene.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said that he has spoken with the White House about the incident, which he described as “sickening”. Walz will hold a news conference in response to the shooting at 1:30 P.M. CST.

This is the third shooting in Minneapolis involving federal agents this month, following the fatal shooting of Renee Good and a Venezuelan migrant being shot in the leg. Both were shot by ICE agents.
