Bear sighting in Harwood

HARWOOD, N.D. (KVRR) — A black bear has been spotted roaming in Harwood.

The city has teamed up with Cass County Sheriff’s Office to share information.

The bear was seen Monday near Park Drive.

At this time, no additional sightings have been reported.

The sheriff’s offce will work closely with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department to monitor and check areas throughout the community.

They are also encouraging parents to discuss the importance of notifying an adult if kids see a bear and to stay away from it.

If you see a bear, call 911 right away and also, keep your garbage lids closed.
