GRAND FORKS, N.D. (North Dakota Monitor) — The North Dakota Industrial Commission on Friday appointed Cathy Dub as president and CEO of the North Dakota Mill and Elevator.

Dub has worked for the state mill since 2014, first as controller and later as chief financial officer. She will succeed CEO Vance Taylor, who is retiring after 26 years in the position.

The state-owned North Dakota Mill and Elevator is self-funded and the largest single site mill in North America. It’s the only one of its kind in the United States. It processes 40 million bushels of North Dakota spring wheat and durum each year.

The state mill is overseen by the Industrial Commission, which is comprised of Gov. Kelly Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.

“Cathy has an excellent understanding of the Mill’s history, mission and operations, and has provided strong leadership as its chief financial officer for the last six years,” Industrial Commission members said in a joint statement.
