Fans are getting fired up to see ESPN’s SportsCenter come to town for the first time.
The network has broadcast its College GameDay program live in Fargo twice, and now its bringing its traveling version of Sports Center.
It’s no GameDay, but ESPN’s SportsCenter on the Road will be broadcasting live from the Fargodome for all you early risers on Saturday from 6-8 a.m.
NDSU head coach Chris Klieman says anytime the network makes a visit is always a good thing.
“Well it allows our brand our name to continue to be to there not only out there not only for football but and our entire university and athletic department.” says Klieman.
This is the third consecutive year that the NDSU Bison has welcomed ESPN for a live broadcast.
He says the broadcast is also a good opportunity for recruitment.
“What it’s like around here on game day if you’re Florida, or Missouri or California or wherever it maybe obviously it’s a great thing for the university, great thing for our program and we’ll utilize it as much as we can,” says Klieman.
Die hard SportsCenter fans will be up early to get a front row seat.
“I’m obsessed with SportsCenter so I mean to actually be a part of it is going to be crazy,” says Ryan Deconcini, Freshman at NDSU,
Other students at NDSU say the fact that the LIVE broadcast falls on homecoming game day makes it that much more exciting.
“Fargo…it’s not something that you’ll hear about all the time since it’s a lot smaller than everything else but I guess Bison are a big deal. It definitely draws a crowd in and it makes it fun to call all this our home and our campus,” says Ethan Johnson & Marissa Kunerth, students at NDSU.
The LIVE broadcast will be free and open to the public.
ESPN better be ready for yet another flood of green and yellow.
Reserved tailgating will open at 5 am and general admission will be open at 5:30am.
