Middle Schoolers Learning About Local Jobs At Careers On Wheels
More than 200 seventh graders had the opportunity to meet different businesses in the area for “Careers on Wheels.”
Each company talked to students about what their job entailed.
The middle schoolers got a chance to interview each business representative about skills required, salary and job schedule.
They also got the chance to interact with the vehicles on display for each job.
“I mean these kids have worked hard all year. They’ve learned a lot about careers, we’ve been in the classroom a lot. I think they’re loving today, and so far, a great group of kids,” says Ben Franklin Middle School intern Amanda Bosman.
The goal of this event is to teach students to recognize career opportunities and work towards achieving their dream job.
