Man Attempts To Rob Cab Driver in Moorhead

A cab driver escaped injury after an attempted robbery late Monday afternoon in south Moorhead.
 
Thirty-seven-year old John Country was arrested a short time later after a police dog tracked him down two blocks away.

Country was found hiding in an apartment laundry room.

He didn’t get any money from the cab driver and he had no weapon.

He’s charged with robbery and assault.

The driver was roughed up but didn’t require medical attention.
