Playground to Be Built in Honor of Wisconsin Sisters

A fundraising effort has reached its goal of $550,000 to build a playground in memory of three Wisconsin girls killed by their father in 2012.

Groundbreaking for the Tri-Angels Playground is set for June at Hoffman Park in River Falls and it’ll open in mid-August.

The playground will be built in memory of the three Schaffhausen sisters , 11-year-old Amara, 8-year-old Sophie and 5-year-old Cecilia.

The girls’ father, Aaron Schaffhausen, has been sentenced to life in prison for their deaths.
