Lawmakers Take Up Sexual Orientation Discrimination Bill
The North Dakota House is taking up a familiar bill.
They are considering legislation that would prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation in housing, government, public services and the workplace.
The Senate passed the bill last month despite the fact that it received a do-not-pass recommendation in committee.
Exemptions for religious organizations and social clubs are in the bill.
Similar legislation failed during the 2009 and 2013 sessions.
