Authorities are advising businesses in Fargo to look twice while handling money.

More fake 100 bills were discovered this weekend in Fargo.

Police say two types of fake bills have been discovered over the past several months.

One is a low denomination bill that’s been washed out and then reprinted to look like a 20, 50 or 100 dollar bill.

Other bills are being printed off a laser printer.

Fake bills have also been found in Moorhead, West Fargo, Wahpeton and Jamestown.

Sgt. Jared Crane, Fargo PD: “Training within businesses and training your staff is always recommended and it certainly helps, especially when you know people are taking large amounts of cash maybe in dimly lit areas. Whether it be restaurants or bars or anything like that.”

Police say some bills are easy to spot while others are more sophisticated.
