Honor Band Performs

The finest high school instrumentalists in the region come together for Honor Band.

The 84 students from six different states were selected for the 8th annual honor band hosted by Concordia.

Students submitted the audition videos on YouTube and then were selected to participate.

The concert features the world premiere of a piece created specifically for the band by the guest composer.

Guest composer/conductor Robert Spittal said,”They’re the best representatives of their schools music programs, they’re the best players in their individual schools and so they’re leaders within their own smaller communities then they come together and they get to work with the best of the best. and that’s a very special experience for them.”

Along with the Honor Band, the Concordia Band also performed at the concert.
