Dayton Declares State of Emergency Over Bird Flu
Gov. Dayton has declared a state of emergency in Minnesota over the bird flu outbreak.
It has killed millions of birds in the state’s poultry industry.
The governor’s order activates an emergency operations plan to support the state response to the epidemic.
It also calls for National Guard personnel to be ordered to duty as needed.
J & A Farms near Lake Park is still waiting for final confirmation that bird flu has hit the chicken farm.
