Art For The Arc Gala For Those With Developmental Disabilities

The Arc of Cass County holds its inaugural Art For The Arc gala.

The event was held at the Holiday Inn in Fargo.

The Gala had a gourmet macaroni and cheese bar, self–advocate art, a silent auction and caricatures.

It also featured a giant blank canvas at the entrance allowing attendees to leave their mark.

Assistant Director Kati Nelson says, “At The Arc, we promote inclusion for people with developmental disabilities, people without developmental disabilities and just everybody in the community. A way we’re trying to show that is by having a Community Canvas where everyone can come and add their own artistic flair to it and then we will auction that off.”

Proceeds from the day go towards The Arc’s retail training program for individuals with developmental disabilities.
