North Dakota Lawmaker Promotes Hometown with Coloring Book

North Dakota State Sen. Tim Flakoll is promoting his home area with a coloring book.

The Fargo lawmaker recently teamed with artist Steve Stark and others to design the book that promotes Fargo-Moorhead.

Flakoll got the idea while watching his niece coloring in a hospital waiting room while his mother was having surgery.

The 50-page book includes illustrations on landmarks, museums, colleges, sports and area history.

Flakoll is the provost of Tri-College University.
