Woman Is Injured After Being Hit By Car

A Moorhead woman is sent to the hospital after she was hit by a car while crossing the street.

69–year–old Laurine Ann Roehrich had been walking in the crosswalk of Center Avenue at 5th Street in Moorhead.

When officers arrived around 12:30 this afternoon, they found Roehrich lying in the roadway surrounded by several by–standers.

The driver of the car said she didn’t see the woman in the crosswalk when she was making her left turn on a green light.

Moorhead Police are considering the charge of failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Roehrich’s injuries are non–life threatening.
