The big event of the 11th Annual Fargo Marathon is just hours away.
This year’s marathon will start inside the Fargodome and go through each college campus in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
This will be a Crookston man’s first marathon and he is taking on a big challenge.
Tim Boyle and four others will be pushing a boy named Carson who is in a wheelchair.
Boyle founded the organization “I Run 4” where athletes foster relationships with people who can’t run due to physical or developmental reasons.
“I’m most excited to give the little boy Carson the opportunity to cross the finish line of a marathon because it’s something that he’s most likely never going to be able to do,” Boyle says.
The 5K run/walk was held Friday night at the Fargodome.
The full marathon kicks off Saturday morning at 7:30 with the half marathon at 8.
