Local Businesses Blooming For Mother’s Day

 Business is blooming for local flower companies.
 
Many in the area are making sure mothers are equipped with fresh flowers from local companies like Shotwell Floral and Greenhouse.

They saw four times the business they see on regular days.

Owners say it’s one of the busiest days of the year.
 
“It’s a pretty steady holiday. We get a lot of people coming in. It’s a really big holiday for cut flowers and it’s also a really large holiday for blooming plants and bedding plants,” said Shotwell Floral VP J.D. Shotwell.
 
One of the more popular flowers this year is the geranium.
