Fight Breaks Out in Local Park

A large fight in Lindenwood Park is under investigation.

Fargo police were first called around 8 p.m. last night to break up a large party.

A half an hour later, a fight broke out between two new American groups at the park.

Police say one person had a tire iron and smashed out the window of a car.

They later found a window smashed out on a car near Southview Village Apartments.

Officers attempted to pull over a car that had a broken window later that night, but the driver did not stop.

Fargo Police Department Lt. Michael Mitchell said, “There are some cultural differences when communicating with these types of groups. So we’re having some issues with that respect. We do have a cultural liaison officer to work with those communities to try to get some resolution.”

No arrests have been made.
