Tonight’s the night.
Cass County Vector Control is set to begin mosquito spraying.
The spraying is scheduled to begin at 8 o’clock in Fargo, West Fargo, and Moorhead.
Grand Forks and East Grand Forks crews will spray tomorrow night starting at 9.
Crews will be focusing on areas that have more trees and tall grass where mosquitoes like to nest.
Spraying is starting earlier this year because of our wet conditions.
“We’re trying to hit mosquitoes on contact which why we are spraying while mosquitoes are active. We usually spray about a half–dozen a summer usually our first doesn’t start till middle maybe end of June, but were starting earlier this year due to the large mosquito numbers were seeing,” said Carter Woodley Cass County Vector Supervisor.
The spraying is completely safe, but as a precaution they are encouraging you to keep windows closed and your pets inside.
