Construction on Oxbow Ring Dike: Judge Won’t Comment
A federal judge who ordered construction to stop on the Oxbow-Hickson-Bakke ring dike is withholding comments on what the injunction covers.
Oxbow mayor Jim Nyhoff and others in the community are upset by opponents’ claims that Judge John Tunheim’s order also includes homes under construction, or those being bought out.
Nyhof says homeowners are in limbo and need clarification.
An aide to Tunheim says the judge “cannot comment on an ongoing case.”
The injunction applies until the Minnesota DNR completes an environmental review on the proposed F-M diversion.
