Defense Lawyers for Aaron Knodel Say Don’t Delay Re-Trial
Lawyers for suspended West Fargo teacher Aaron Knodel say there’s no reason to delay his re–trial on sexual misconduct charges.
The judge set the second trial for June 23rd after he declared a mistrial on two counts.
Prosecutors say they need more time to prepare, notify witnesses and make a decision on whether to ask that the case be moved out of Fargo.
The defense says the delay isn’t justified and the case shouldn’t linger on for several more months.
Knodel is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student six years ago.
