Teen Dies After Wisdom Teeth Are Pulled

The family of an Eden Prairie teen says the girl died during a routine procedure to extract her wisdom teeth.

Sydney Galleger’s family announced her death last night on her CaringBridge web page.

The 17-year-old Eden Prairie High School student went to the doctor last Tuesday to have her wisdom teeth removed. Her mother says her daughter went into cardiac arrest.

She was rushed to Children’s Hospital where she later died.

Her family says Sydney chose to be an organ donor when she got her driver’s license.
