Crews Inspecting Moorhead Bridges After Crane Hit Them

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is inspecting three bridges in Moorhead after a railroad crane attached to a semi hit them.

A Peterbuilt semi was heading west on I-94 Sunday afternoon around 11:30 carrying a railroad crane that exceeded height limitations.

The crane hit the overpass bridge at 34th Street, the railroad overpass and the overpass at 20th Street before it fell.

A Buick Century was damaged by the debris but there were no injuries.

The Minnesota DOT is inspecting all three bridges for structural damage.
