Supreme Court Ruling on Gay Marriage Could Come Soon

Gay couples and state officials in North and South Dakota are anxiously waiting for the Supreme Court’s ruling on gay marriage.

The nation’s highest court could rule Friday or Monday on whether same-sex couples in every state have the constitutional right to marry.

Experts say lawsuits challenging same-sex marriage bans in both states could be over with a sweeping rule from Washington.

In North Dakota, Burleigh County Recorder Debbie Kroshus says she’ll start issuing marriage licenses immediately if the court rules she can.
