Police Break Up Alleged Gang Rap Concert; Rappers Throw Money

Sorry, this video is no longer available

Moorhead police had to break up a near riot situation at a hip-hop concert involving alleged gang members.

“It’s time for everybody to leave.  You need to move and clear their driveway.”

Police just released this video from the Days Inn parking lot Saturday night.

They say the crowd was getting out of control and hotel guests were being harassed.

Police cut power to the concert after members of the “The Fast Money Boys” refused to shut down the event.

Officers gave the crowd 10 minutes to disperse, or be taken into custody.

At one point, members of the band began trying to entice the crowd by throwing one-dollar bills into the air. No arrests were made.

“You know it was dark, emotions were high, some had been drinking. Clearly some were looking to capture some event on camera.  If somebody were to take it to the next step and maybe pull out a weapon or do something it really could have been a bad situation,” says Lt. Tory Jacobson, Moorhead Police Department.

Deputies from the Clay County Sheriff’s office and the Dilworth Police Department also responded.
