Moorhead Community Supports Man Who Needs Lung Transplant
Sorry, this video is no longer available
A Moorhead man in need of a lung transplant is getting help from the community.
Stevan Lemke is on a list to get a lung transplant due to pulmonary fibrosis possibly caused from working near asbestos.
He faces upwards of $500,000 in medical bills.
Many in the community came to his benefit to help support him and his family.
When he gets selected, they will have to move to Rochester for anywhere from three to six months.
“It hasn’t even really soaked in yet, you know? There’s people here that I don’t even know. There’s strangers, there’s people I’ve only met a couple times.”
To help Stevan;
Donations in cash or check form made payable to Steve Lemke Benefit Fund may be forwarded to Alerus Bank at 51 Broadway, Fargo, ND 58102.
