Downpour in Moorhead Leaves Motorists Stranded

A downpour in the metro this afternoon flooded some city streets.

KVRR’s own Nick Broadway posted these pictures to his Facebook page.

You can see 9th Avenue South near MSUM had water up to the wheel wells of vehicles driving through.

There were also reports of vehicles getting stalled in other parts of Moorhead.

Authorities had to shut some roads down due to the high water, including putting barricades up on 20th Street around 16th Avenue.

It took a little while for the water to recede as the storms moved out.
