Kenmare Mother Accused of Killing 13-Year-Old Son Wants Trial Outside of Minot

A Kenmare woman accused of murder and neglect in the death of her 13-year-old son who weighed just 21 pounds wants any trial in the case held outside of Minot.

36-year-old Jessica Jensen had pleaded guilty in a deal that called for her to spend 16 years in prison, but a judge last week rejected the deal.

Jensen’s attorney has filed a motion asking for a change of venue, and also to suppress some evidence.

She has the option of having her attorney renegotiate with the state.
