Water Warning to City of Fairmount

People in Fairmount are under a boil order after the city’s water tower was damaged by last night’s severe weather.

You can see the top part of the tower is no longer in place.

A crew has been brought in to see if it can be fixed.

In the meantime, the Red Cross is helping by providing bottled water at the fire hall.

City water can be used to flush toilets, bathe and do laundry, but officials are asking people to limit their use until repairs are complete.
