Investigation of Oberon Teacher Finds No Evidence of Sexual Misconduct

The Benson County State’s Attorney says he has not received any information that would allow for federal or state charges against an Oberon teacher.

Another media outlet had reported that Corey Ploium was accused of having sex with a student.

Benson County State’s Attorney James Wang says a BCI investigation in January turned up nothing and that Ploium was placed on administrative leave for other reasons.

He believes the investigation was tied to an allegation against the teacher years ago in another school district.
