Possible E.Coli Outbreak at Red River Valley Fair

North Dakota health experts are investigating a cluster of E. coli cases tied to last week’s Red River Valley Fair.

Three cases involve people younger than 18 who were at the fair.

E. coli is a bacterial infection that can cause diarrhea, abdominal cramping, nausea and vomiting.

Officials say one of the ill individuals has been diagnosed with a severe complication that can cause kidney damage and failure.

If you experience diarrhea or bloody diarrhea for over 24 hours within 10 days of attending the fair, you should contact health officials.
