The Jeremiah program has been awarded 2.2 million dollars to build homes for single mothers.
The grant was given by the North Dakota Housing Incentive, and will go towards safe, affordable housing.
The program’s mission is to help bring families and their future generations out of poverty.
“Transforming two generations at a time. Mom is getting educated, and their small children are getting educated in the child development center. So when these kids start kindergarten they are on par with their peers and sometimes even do better,” said Diane Solinger Jeremiah Executive Director.
The grant will go towards building homes on the Jeremiah Project’s campus and and on-site early childhood education center.
